Michelle White has created this block titled Threaded.
I chose colours for the 9" block so they looked like they faded from light to dark. From white with a black stripe to grey with a medium scale white print, through to grey with a tiny white print and finally the darkest, black with a white stripe.
The smaller block I decided to alternate black and pink rectangles and place the stripes in the B sections of the block. Once again, I cut all the B squares from the same section of stripe, so it looked even across the block, once sewn together.
I used diagonal seam tape as a guide for sewing all the B squares onto the A sections.
This block was quick and easy to stitch together.
